Daniel Izzo

Daniel Izzo is Executive Director and Co-founder at Vox Capital, Brazil’s first leading impact investing venture capital firm, focusing on high-potential startups and early-stage businesses that are using technology too serve the Brazilian low-income population with solutions that have the potential to improve their lives. Before founding Vox Capital, Daniel worked for 12 years in marketing and business development positions, and he has worked with the Brazilian low-income population since 2007. He worked at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Division in Brazil, where he led the company’s business development area for the ‘base of the pyramid’; this included a project in low-income communities in Rio de Janeiro, selling products, generating income for community members and educating the population on health issues. He also worked at the Brazilian e-commerce pioneer Submarino during its start-up phase. Daniel is a board member of several companies and member of the Global Executive Committee for the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE). He leads the Working Group for Impact Investing at the Brazilian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (ABVCAP) and is a member of the Brazilian Social Finance Steering Committee. He has also been nominated as a World Young Leader by the BMW Foundation. He has an MBA with high distinction from HEC Montreal and a BA from EAESP/FGV in Brazil.
